smokes and orchids
I've been really slacking! Not like anyone reads this, but still!
Okay so I've been really wanting a black blazer.. see The Veronicas below... love love love her blazer and her blonde locks. I have been hoping to grow my hair out because the A-line I got a couple years ago is suddenly the most popular, conformist hairstyle of all time and I need to change it up! It's so difficult to grow out though because of the back! Ah! I want it to be long and gorgeous and I miiiight want bangs like hers, but that could be risky.
Okay so here are some of my cravings today!
Shoulder pads in regular, boring v-neck tee shirts! Chic! And also her pale pale lipstick.. 4th and Bleeker is such an inspiration! Thennn, this acid washed jean jacket! I think I could rock it and make it look so pimp.
This little blue dress has the cutest silhouette I've ever seen and I love the shade choice. I am so stuck on my LBD-obsession that I'm aching for some color! ANDDD a bit of Azzedine Alaia is always welcome. I love this mannequin and love the Alaia black pieces in the background. I guess I'm just craving some Azzedine Alaia genius!

As a night owl, I should really invest in this lacy, black number. Who needs blackout curtains when you can slide this over your mascara-smudged eyes?! And orchids in perfect, black geometric planters looking out over some Manhattan brownstone maybe? This just sums up my fall craving in one snapshot. I couldn't ache for Manhattan any harder than at this moment!

Although I'm all about the haute couture and the glitz, I think I will always savor this look: a girl with the perfect pair of skinnies or bootleg jeans with a classy ballet slipper and the perfect button-up dress shirt paired with a shiny silver watch. Ah. Unfortunately for me, she is usually dangling a cigarette between her perfectly manicured hands and has her long hair tied up in a chic knot. I need to grow my hair, my nails, and my wardrobe. AND get rid of asthma! When did smoking become so fashionable again?

The Devil Wears Prada & Cravings!
I'm in the middle of The Devil Wears Prada today...VERY good movie, but I hate the ending.. every wanna-be fashionista knows that Andy would NOT have been passing up on her morals by merely sticking with Miss Miranda Priesly. She would have been taking the opportunity of a lifetime. I must admit... I KNOW I could do a better job than Andy. (:
I loved most of the clothes, but at times Stanley looked a little too Sex and the City Stanford for me!
Do you catch my drift? I am a firm believer that just because you're gay does not mean you enjoy sporting a hideous flamboyant plaid suit..!
Here are some of my cravings on a hot June day...
I want Erin Wasson's little black and white patent leather jazz shoes. I want that gorgeous pink PERFECT dress with the open back. It has the right amount of color, skin, and silhouette! I want Audrey's thick strand of timeless pearls. I want those Balenciaga pants and I am determined to find a pair like them! And I really really want that wave-like, white skirt and the strapped ballet slippers in the last picture. Is that skirt one made by Leanne Marshall (Project Runway winner from Season 5)?

The First
It's 8:03 PM and I am still suffocating of heat. The only thing I can bring myself to wear in this weather is a worn pair of cutoff black shorts and a thin thin thin white shirt. At least I invested in adorable black gladiator sandals with gold studs.
What I'd give for a bit of a downpour... or a ticket to a colder place.. London anyone?
Today I discovered 4th and Bleeker... my new FAVORITE blogger. She's quite new so I couldn't creep into her archives, but I am so excited for what is to come! Here is a taste of her talents...
I love her look for starters...that flawless skin and her doe eyes and that hair... not to mention her perfect legs. But what really intrigues me is her sense of individual style. She's everything I could ever want to be. Chic, edgy, and downright perfect. I LOVE love love that vest in the stair image. Very Pasodoble! Thennnn those demin shorts that she so daringly cut for a bit of a pelvic show... let's just say I will be making myself a pair!So inventive and sexy. And where the fuck can I get a pair of leopard print ankle booties?!
So I attempted to start a Twitter account just to follow celebs.. and now I am being suckered into ACTUALLY using it. Mine is cridgway007...add meeee! Maybe I'll learn to use it and actually be interesting. Doubtful. Even without my meaningless "tweets" there is a fashion world waiting to be followed! Karl Lagerfeld anyone!?
I can't help, but be inspired by another blonde beauty... Miss Erin Wasson...I love what she has done with RVCA!
Fall 09 is gonna be a season of beauty, everyone.
